Extra Curricular Activities
Children learn in a variety of different ways and we aim to provide a range of opportunities to engage all individuals and develop their learning.
These include:
Football Sessions with Fulham FC
We offer the children weekly sessions of Football skills. We have a coach from Fulham Football Club who visits on Monday mornings
Wiggle Waggle
We have weekly sessions of wiggle waggle, which is an energetic music and movement session. Keisha comes in every Wednesday morning.
Forest Schools
Children have the time and space to be able to develop their physical and social skills as they play and explore in the natural environment.
Eco-school
Bayonne has Eco School status and strives to provide a sustainable learning environment and it does this by taking the following measures; recycling, promoting walking to school, using low energy alternatives, including sustainability in the curriculum etc.
The aim of an Early Years Eco-School is to increase the environmental awareness of the children, led by the staff. We occasionally go litter picking around our school grounds and our local community, parents and careers are welcome to join us.
Yoga
Yoga is not just for adults! In fact, it can give children very important life skills that can help them succeed in the world.
Gardening Club
Takes place on Thursdays. Gardening club helps develop new skills, learn about nature, have fun, foster teamwork, enjoy healthy eating and improve self-confidence by spending time outdoors, tending seeds and plants and growing their own flowers and food.
Trips Out
These include trips to the local shops, visits to the library and trips to our local Recycling Centre.
Sing-a-long
Occasionally we have sing-a-long sessions on a Friday, where families are welcome to join us. The sessions are a delightful way to bring children and families together through the joy of music.
Healthy school & travel plan:
Bayonne has a healthy school award and actively promotes the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. The travel plan working party regularly reviews methods of transport to school; walking, cycling, scooting, and riding your bike are all encouraged.
