Screen Time Guidence
We know that screens are part of everyday life for many families, but finding the right balance for young children can sometimes feel tricky. New Government guideance offers helpful advice for parents of under 5's, focusing on simple ways to build healthy habits from an early age. It reccomends that children aged 2 and under avoid screen use, with the exception of some occasions where they are engaging in a shared activity. While children aged 2-5 should have no more than one hour a day. Just as importantly, it encourages families to enjoy screen free moments together - like mealtimes, bedtime routines and play; supporting children's development, sleep and wellbeing in a natural and positivie way.
